Fusion 360 This course introduces you to the user-centered design process, a process typically used in product and industrial design. Students use Fusion 360 as the 3D CAD/CAM tool to model a lunchbox based on user needs.
 

Course Content


  1. Introduction   
    • User interface. Data panel, menu bar,Account related information (How to create account)
    • Preference setting, part tree
    • Concept of components

  2. Sketcher
    • Create:-Line, rectangle, circle, arc, polygon, ellipse, slot, spline, conic curve, point, text, mirror, patterns, sketch dimensions
    • Modify:-Fillet, trim, extend, scale, offset, move/ copy
    • Constraints:-Horizontal, coincident, tangent, equal, parallel, perpendicular, fix/unfix, midpoint, constrict, collinear, symmetry
    • Inspect:-Measure

  3. Solid (Panel Design)
    • Create:-Extrude, revolve, sweep, loft, rib, whole, threads, bore, cylinder, sphere, torus, coil, pipe, pattern, mirror, thicken
    • Modify:-Press pull, fillet, chamfer, shell, draft, scale, combine, offset face/ copy, delete

  4. Surface Designing
    • Create:-Extrude, revolved, sweep, loft, patch, offset, pattern, mirror, thicken
    • Modify:-Trim, extend, stitch (join), unstitch, reverse normal, move/copy

  5. Assembly
    • Joint, as built joint, joint origin, motion link, motion study, drive joint

  6. Sheet metal design
    • Create:-Flange, bend, flat, pattern
    • Model:-Unfold

  7. Drafting
    • View, modify, geometry, dimensions, text, symbols

  8. CAM
    • Creating a new setup for machining
    • Turning:-Turning profile, groove, single groove, chamfer, thread
    • Milling:-2Dmilling- adaptive clearing, 2d pocket, face, slot Drill 3D milling- Adaptive clearing, pocket, contour
    • Actions:-Simulate, post process

  9. 3D Printing
    • Theory and Background of 3D Printing
    • Setting Up a 3D Printer
    • Preparing STL& G-Code files and sending to the 3D Printer
    • 3D printer Filaments
